Do you remember the days when you first met your spouse? What were things like back then? Do you remember the day that you first met? Your first date? Your first kiss? Do you remember all the other firsts that you had with them?
Right now, if your marriage is on the rocks, you may have forgotten those times. Chances are you’ve been so caught up with everything that’s going on right now that you haven’t walked down memory lane all that often. Right now, it’s probably the furthest thing from your mind, to be prefectly honest, and that’s perfectly understandable.
Still, you must have had great times with your spouse – otherwise you wouldn’t have married them. Remembering those times are important, because you can use them to help bridge the gap that has threatened to tear the two of you apart.
How do you do so? Well, there are many ways in which this could be accomplished. Start dating again, for example, and go back to the place where you both first met, or had your first date or… well, you get the picture. Go someplace memorable. Someplace with romantic vibes that will remind your spouse of the times that you had together.
By remembering those times, you both may also remember just how much you meant, and mean, to one another.
If you can push all the ‘bad’ aside for a time, and bask in the ‘good’ from times past, you may even be able to revitalize that old romantic flame that you both once shared. Try it – it really is one of the best ways to bridge the gap in your marriage.
